When we are in a group, we tend to think that someone is in charge. Someone who is not us. Someone else will take the action should action need to be taken.
It seems that we change our behavior based on our environment.
When you are alone in a room and you see smoke, there is an 80% chance that you will think fire and plan your escape. You will leave the room.
If other people are in the room, same smoke, but if no one else moves, your likelihood of leaving the room drops to about 38%. (That’s what the study says).
If you really want to get something done, something new and marvelous, you are better off getting it started when you are alone.
Focus and complete the things that only you can do.
To get bigger things done you need a group, but to get the right things done, work alone.
